Contracted for 185 days @ 7 hours per day. Salary based on experience. Position begins 7/1/2026.With benefits including state retirement and state health plus additional optional benefits

BASIC FUNCTION: Perform a variety of clerical and technical support duties in support of the Family Resource & Youth Services Center (FRYSC) program involving technical knowledge within the program; assist the FRYSC Coordinator, principals and others in the implementation of program objectives and activities.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Perform a variety of clerical and technical support duties in support of the FRYSC program involving technical knowledge within the program; assist the FRYSC Coordinator, principals and others in the implementation of program objectives and activities.Perform responsible duties in support of the FRYSC program at the District or school site level.Work closely with other school personnel to coordinate activities and assure compliance with program and District directives.Provide various services and implement functions for the FRYSC program involving direct or indirect contact with students, parents, outside program officials, regulatory agencies and others.Provide input to District-wide reports for the FRYSC program; monitor program budget as directed.Monitor files and records regarding participants, students, parents, proper statistics and data and other matters.Review and monitor FRYSC program as assigned at specific sites; make observations, diagnose problems and provide for proper resolution.Represent the FRYSC program at District, school and community meetings and conferences as directed.Analyze program material and provide input for modification as required; review application from participants and determine program eligibility.Research, collect and compile data as directed to develop reports; analyze data and suggest implications.Perform routine clerical and receptionist duties to maintain efficient FRYSC operations.Perform related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Record-keeping techniques.Operation of a computer terminal and data entry techniques.Oral and written communication skills.Research methods and report writing techniques. ABILITY TO: Assist with responsible duties for the FRYSC program.Understand and follow oral and written directions.Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.Maintain records and prepare reports.Operate a computer terminal.Prioritize and schedule work.Learn, apply and explain policies, procedures, rules and regulations.Maintain current knowledge of FRYSC program rules, regulations, requirements and restrictions.Determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines.Work independently with little direction.Meet schedules and time lines. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D

as required by Kentucky law. FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A NATIONAL (FBI) AND STATE (KSP) FINGERPRINT SUPPORTED CRIMINAL HISTORY BACKGROUND CHECK PLUS A LETTER FROM THE CABINET FOR HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES STATING THE EMPLOYEE IS CLEAR TO HIRE BASED ON NO FINDINGS OF SUBSTANTIATED CHILD ABUSE OR NEGLECT FOUND THROUGH A BACKGROUND CHECK OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT (CAN) RECORDS MAINTAINED BY THE CABINET FOR HEALTH AND FAMILY SERVICES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. An FBI, KSP & CAN background check(s) performed for another school district of current employment or within a 6 month separation period may be accepted.

KRS 160.380 As a condition of initial employment, all employees shall pass a medical examination. The medical examination shall be reported on the form required by Kentucky Administrative Regulation available at the Board of Education office. The examination shall be provided by a licensed physician, physician assistant (PA), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Each medical examination shall include a risk assessment for tuberculosis as required by Kentucky Administrative Regulation. Individuals identified by that assessment as being at high risk for TB shall be required to undergo a tuberculin skin test. A Medical exam & TB screen performed for another school district of current employment or within a 6 month separation period may be accepted.

702 KAR 001:160 All applicants being considered for employment shall be required to submit to a urinalysis test for the detection of illegal use of drugs and alcohol. An applicant refusing to complete any part of the drug testing procedure will not be considered a valid candidate for employment with the District, and such will be considered as a withdrawal of the individual's application for employment. If substance screening shows a confirmed positive result for which there is no current physician's prescription, a second confirming test may be requested by the HRC.

If the first or any requested second confirming test is positive, any current job offer will be revoked. The applicant will not be permitted to reapply for employment with the District for at least twelve (12) months and not until the applicant shows proof of successful completion of a drug rehabilitation program or proof that the applicant is no longer engaging in illegal drug use. A drug screen, which includes our 5 required panels, performed for another school district of current employment or within a 6 month separation period may be accepted.

DSISD School Policy 03.23251 As a condition of initial employment, all employees shall complete training for the use of physical restraint and seclusion in school districts. 704 KAR 7:160.
