Trax is currently seeking a Technical Product Analyst (TPA) to play a key role in shaping and delivering a scalable SaaS products and platform. This role sits at the intersection of product management, engineering, and data, combining product thinking with strong technical expertise. The TPA is responsible for translating product strategy into actionable, technically sound requirements, driving backlog readiness, and ensuring that delivered solutions align with both user/customer needs and system architecture. This role goes beyond traditional analysis by contributing to product discovery, feature design, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product Managers to define features, enhancements, and product capabilities roadmap.
  • Participate in customer discovery, problem framing, and solution design based on customer requirements.
  • Break down product initiatives into clear, prioritized, and actionable sprint items.
  • Contribute to feature design by balancing user/customer experience, business value, and technical feasibility
  • Translate product concepts into detailed technical user stories, specifications, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, IT and architecture teams to define: System behaviors, System functionality, Data flows, Integration points
  • Ensure requirements align with platform architecture, scalability goals and product evolution roadmap.
  • Create artifacts such as: Sequence diagrams, Data models, API specifications, Product / functionality specifications
  • Define and document API requirements, payloads, and contracts.
  • Support the design of system integrations and data exchange mechanisms.
  • Analyze and define business rules, validation logic, and data transformations.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure data integrity and system consistency.
  • Own backlog refinement and ensure stories are developer-ready.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for engineering for requirement clarification.
  • Participate/support in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Support QA and customer UAT validation, ensuring features meet customer acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze product and operational data to inform decisions and prioritize features.
  • Define and track KPIs, product metrics, and usage analytics.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and scalability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Aviation Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-6+ years of experience in Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Product-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS product development and Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with API design and documentation (REST, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger), SQL and data analysis, System integrations and distributed systems
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical architecture and business tradeoffs.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Postman or similar API tools, Diagramming tools (Lucidchart, Miro, Visio)
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with microservices, event-driven systems, or domain-driven design
  • Exposure to product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience in B2B SaaS platforms or complex enterprise systems
  • Aviation or maintenance domain knowledge
