Air Liquide is Hiring for a ASU & SMR Production Manager

  • This position is located at our facility in Hamilton, ON

  • Starting salary: $130,000

Job Summary:

Supervise the operations of the unit by organizing the activity/workflow of the plant and making the interface with other teams. Responsible for overseeing the safe operation of the production plant in accordance with local legislature. Provides guidance to operational staff and focus on efficiency improvement of the production plants

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize production processes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and adherence to production schedules.

  • Implement and maintain robust Asset Management strategies for all production equipment and infrastructure, maximizing uptime and lifespan.

  • Lead and foster Cross-Functional Collaboration with various departments, including engineering, supply chain, and sales, to achieve organizational goals.

  • Oversee all aspects of Production Management, ensuring a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.

  • Willing to be on-call to support production and personnel.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Planning Operations, including production forecasts, capacity planning, and resource allocation.

  • Establish and enforce rigorous Quality Management systems, ensuring products meet or exceed established standards and customer expectations.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks through proactive Risk Management strategies, safeguarding personnel and assets.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement in production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing production team.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Professional registration is a strong wish).

  • 7+ years proven experience in a Production Manager role or similar leadership position within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Asset Management principles and practices.

  • Strong track record of successful Cross-Functional Collaboration and project leadership.

  • In-depth technical knowledge and working understanding of Air Liquide's operation processes.

  • Exceptional skills in Planning Operations, including scheduling, forecasting, and resource allocation.

  • Extensive experience with Quality Management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

  • Proficiency in Risk Management methodologies and their application in an industrial setting.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze complex data, make informed decisions, and implement effective solutions.

  • Ability to read key operating documents and to troubleshoot production problems

  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
