Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will support the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of building systems, equipment, and interior spaces to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. Your hands-on skills and technical knowledge will help maintain the integrity of our facilities, contributing to smooth operations and a positive experience for all occupants. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components.

  • Utilize hand tools, schematics, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues efficiently.

  • Conduct repairs involving welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general facilities maintenance to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.

  • Maintain facilities equipment including motors, pumps, switches, wiring, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal performance.

  • Assist with plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including leak detection and pipe repairs.

  • Support maintenance painting projects to enhance the appearance of interior spaces.

  • Follow safety protocols diligently while working with electrical systems or performing high-risk tasks such as HVAC system repair or welding.

  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.

  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders and deliver excellent customer service to internal clients.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory in accordance with operational procedures.

Experience

  • Proven hands-on experience in building maintenance or facilities management roles.
