The Office Manager serves as the face of the office, offering a friendly and helpful touchpoint for faculty and student constituents and other visitors while supporting our academic advising, course scheduling and adjunct services teams.The Office Manager provides computing, technical, research, clerical and administrative support to the Office of Academic Affairs staff and offers consistent, professional, and timely assistance to the staff, students, faculty, and visitors to this office. The Office Manager supports the advising team in managing student appointment scheduling and also will support the other staff on the course scheduling and adjunct services teams. The range of responsibilities include, but is not limited to, answering faculty and student inquiries; receiving and screening telephone calls, email, and walk-in traffic; running reports and maintaining data files; filing; preparing and sending correspondence; pulling student information for advisors; making reservations for events on campus; participating in meetings as requested; and completing other duties as assigned.The Office Manager also assists in administering and managing the budget, oversees purchasing and reimbursement requests, assists with data collection and reporting to ensure priorities are met, and oversees key publications and communications. The Office Manager oversees the Office of Academic Affairs’ webpages and assists with the publication of the Georgetown Law Student Handbook of Academic Policies.**Work Interactions**The Office Manager will be familiar with the intricacies of both the scheduling teams’ and advising teams’ projects, services, and needs and will coordinate the efforts of those two teams in addition to coordinating with and supporting the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs. The Office Manager reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and indirectly to the Executive Directors for Advising Services and Adjunct Services. The Office Manager must be familiar with the policies and practices of both the Office of Academic Affairs and the Law Center as a whole.**Requirements and Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.* A minimum of five years of professional experience.* Proficiency in use of Google Applications for Education, Adobe, and Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.* Experience managing budgets and expense reports.* Strong organizational, oral, and written skills and attention to detail.* Demonstrated interpersonal skills.* Ability to serve diverse personalities, maintain poise and professional demeanor, act with diplomacy and tact, and exercise sound judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information in an environment that is highly pressured at times.* Commitment to working with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff.**Preferred**:* Experience with WordPress or other website publication tools.* Familiarity with Canvas, Symplicity, Banner, LeepFrog, Watermark, and/or other educational technologies.* Familiarity with Zoom video conferencing and telephony.* Experience with accessible design for ADA accommodations.* Experience in event and meeting planning.**Work Mode Designation**This position has been designated as Hybrid.
