Job SummaryThe Sacramento Kings are committed to delivering personalized, data-driven experiences that strengthen fan engagement across every touchpoint. As part of the Business Intelligence team, the Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for the administration, execution, and optimization of the organization's marketing automation platform and customer communications.
This role serves as the primary administrator for Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), ensuring the successful development, deployment, and measurement of digital marketing campaigns across multiple brands, including the Sacramento Kings, Golden 1 Center, Stockton Kings, and Kings Team Store. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering timely, targeted communications that enhance the fan experience.
Key Responsibility Areas
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), managing platform configuration, governance, and best practices.
  • Build, test, schedule, and deploy email marketing campaigns across multiple business units, including:
    • Sacramento Kings
    • Kings Team Store
    • Golden 1 Center
    • Stockton Kings
  • Develop and manage audience segments using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) profiles, behavioral data, and custom list imports to support targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Ticketing, Corporate Partnerships, Retail, and other business units to execute personalized customer journeys and campaign strategies.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all campaigns, including audience validation, content review, deliverability testing, and deployment accuracy.
  • Monitor campaign execution and troubleshoot issues related to audience qualification, journey logic, and email delivery.
  • Provide campaign performance data and email reporting to internal stakeholders, delivering insights on key metrics such as delivery, opens, clicks, engagement, and conversions.
  • Maintain documentation of campaign workflows, audience definitions, and platform processes to ensure operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), supporting reporting, dashboard development, and campaign measurement.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and Marketing teams to identify opportunities for automation, personalization, and continuous optimization of fan communications.
  • Stay current on Adobe Experience Cloud capabilities and recommend enhancements that improve marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience administering marketing automation platforms, preferably Adobe Journey Optimizer or comparable enterprise solutions (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Marketo, etc.).
  • Experience working with customer data platforms (CDPs), preferably Adobe Experience Platform.
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation, customer lifecycle marketing, and email best practices.
  • Experience with marketing analytics and reporting tools, including Customer Journey Analytics or similar platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, and creating exceptional fan experiences.

Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
