Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Project Manager (Hyperscale) in Tempe, AZ. The Project Manager (Hyperscale) oversees the end-to-end delivery of low-voltage infrastructure projects, including structured cabling, fiber optics, and AV systems. Acting as the primary liaison between stakeholders and field teams, the ideal candidate ensures all installations meet quality standards while adhering to strict schedules and budget constraints.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $93,600 to $114,400 Annually BOE

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • BICSI
  • RCDD
  • PMP

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle for commercial low-voltage and IT infrastructure projects from kickoff through final closeout.
  • Act as the central point of contact between customers, general contractors, and internal field teams to coordinate project execution.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, track overall costs, and handle financial milestones.
  • Process project change orders and ensure accurate billing throughout the project duration.
  • Create comprehensive work plans and coordinate the procurement of necessary equipment and materials.
  • Conduct regular site walks and progress meetings to monitor project status and resolve operational roadblocks.
  • Implement project quality control checklists to ensure all installations comply with company and industry standards.
  • Provide regular status reports and updates to project stakeholders regarding schedule and budget performance.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks by enforcing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 3+ years of project management experience specifically within structured cabling, audio-visual (AV), or low-voltage systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling, pathways, and telecommunications spaces.
  • Proficiency in construction and project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Procore.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Experience managing financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting and change order processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate procurement and logistics for multi-phase infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with general contractors and internal field crews.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be aware of OSHA safety standards and follow site safety protocols.
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, and walk on active construction sites.
  • Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders during site walks and inspections.
  • Exposure to heights and loud noises common in construction environments.
