What you'll doResponsibilities
  • Working with teams across the organization to understand pain points in their infrastructure usage to find common ideas and work to create solutions which span multiple domains;
  • Define and produce high quality written proposals, communications and documentation. 
  • Execute on technical programs that require deep systems and engineering level knowledge;
  • Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Engineers and other Technical Program Managers to define, scope and drive large programs to conclusion; 
  • Play a key part in shaping the technical design, predicting technical roadblocks by collaborating with engineers, and identifying trade-offs;
  • Develop, implement, and iterate on program management techniques, frameworks, and KPIs to achieve goals with well defined success criteria;
  • Elevate the execution muscle of engineering teams around you;
  • Train them to be better at delivery where needed;
  • Help influence peers / stakeholders and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity;
  • Leverage data and acquired knowledge to drive strategic decisions at an engineering leadership level;
  • Create widely circulated plans, driving consistency, clarity and building alignment across teams;
  • Operationalize and execute critical cross functional programs spanning multiple engineering organizations for Infrastructure (Developer Infrastructure, Core Infrastructure, Service Infrastructure);
  • Shape technical design, predicting technical roadblocks by collaborating with engineers, and identify trade-offs;
  • Drive programs that span across Stripe in the core infrastructure of Stripe's payment systems;
  • Responsible for the successful definition, cross-functional strategy, planning and execution of large-scale technical programs. 
  • Solve complex problems and enable products and infrastructure at scale;
  • Deliver exceptional results through building and implementing solutions that scale while protecting our users and serving the business; and
  • Demonstrate deep technical expertise in software infrastructure (e.g. AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, etc.)
Who you areMinimum requirements
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in Software engineering, systems engineering or technical program management.
  • 4 years experience in Core infrastructure including database, cloud compute, networking and services;
  • 4 years experience in Program management during all phases of software development from kick-off to launch;
  • 2 years experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA);
  • 5 years experience in software architecture and systems design;
  • 5 years experience in technical program management in software infrastructure;
  • 5 years experience in cloud infrastructure in compute, networking, databases, or service frameworks; and
  • 1 year experience in SQL.

Salary: $173,400 - $260,200

This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.

40 hrs/week

100% Telecommuting Permitted.

Up to 10% Domestic and International travel required.

Multiple Positions Available.
