Job description

Job Title: Manager - Supply Chain Program Management

Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid

Job Summary/Purpose

The Manager is responsible for developing and leading the planning, coordination, and execution of end-to-end Supply Chain material-management programs that support major capital projects. This role partners closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives, customer commitments, and program milestones. The Manager provides strategic guidance, resolves complex material management challenges, and drives the execution of strategies that enable consistent and cost effective material readiness solutions for large capital projects. The key strategic function is partnership with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of business outcomes and customer commitments, as well as leadership and development of the team to deliver these objectives. The Manager serves as a cross-functional leader and primary point of coordination for timely execution of material management solutions from inception through execution.

The position will lead a team of direct, in-direct, matrixed and contract resources in the safe execution of the program with high quality. The role requires an influential leader with the knowledge and skills to manage execution of a program with schedule and cost accuracy to achieve annual spend/closing targets and well-versed in managing relationships while upholding accountability for performance. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

1.     Program & Strategic Leadership

a.     Lead development and execution of material management strategies that support major capital projects from inception through completion

b.     Serve as the primary point of coordination between Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, PMO, vendors and contractors to ensure material readiness and alignment with project schedules.

c.     Translate program objectives into actionable material management plans, including forecasting, long-lead planning, supplier readiness and inventory strategy.

2.     Materia & Supply Chain Execution

a.     Develop and oversee end-to-end management of materials including planning, procurement coordination, inventory management and distribution

b.     Identify and resolve constraints that may impact schedule, cost or contractor performance

c.     Ensure timely execution of material solutions, including staging, logistics, and field support to maintain project timeline and quality.

3.     Team Leadership

a.     Lead a team of direct, indirect, matrixed and contract resources to deliver safe, high quality and timely program support.

b.     Develop talent, assign clear accountability, coach performance and cultivate a high performing team culture.

c.     Ensure program reporting, KPIS, dashboards and communications accurately reflect performance and risks.

4.     Performance & Financial Accountability

a.     Ensure cost and schedule accuracy, driving adherence to budget targets and annual spend/cloe-out goals.

b.     Track and report performance metrics including material availability, cost efficiency, schedule impacts, supplier performance and operational risks.

c.     Identify costs reduction opportunities and process improvements to enhance efficiency and program execution.     

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field

Experience:

  • 5 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management or Capital Project support.  
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including direct full-time, contract and matrixed teams.
  • Demonstrate experience supporting major capital projects, resiliency/hardening programs or construction project material lifecycles.  

Technical & Functional Skills:

·         Strong knowledge of materials management, inventory planning, supplier management and warehouse/logistic operations.

·         Ability to interpret and apply material forecasting, lead-time management and demand planning principles.

·         Experience coordinate with procurement, suppliers, warehouse operations, contractors, and internal SC teams.

·         Proficiency with ERP/Inventory systems
