Job Description
Candidate shall be responsible for managing scope, budget, risks, issues, changes and schedule for one or more customer-contract software implementation projects, based on the methodology defined by the PMO. Will act as the primary project interface to the customer.
* Effectively manage the project in order to deliver on time, on budget and according to project scope and client quality expectations
* Oversee financial requirements, scheduling requirements, contractual commitments, and resource and staffing requirements
* Develop a high-level milestone plan using goals and objectives of the project in order to align project with expectations of sponsors and stakeholders
* Execute project plan (quality, risk, communications, staffing etc.) by using the tools identified in the planning phase and by auditing the results of their use in order to align the project outcomes with stakeholder expectations and standards
* Negotiate changes with clients on behalf of the project and manage project change in accordance with the change management process in order to control scope, quality, schedule cost and contracts
* Address project issues by identifying and selecting a course of action by taking into account the project constraints and objectives in order to enable continued project progress
* Communicate project status and issues with customer, project team and internal management on a regular and timely basis.
* Will be expected to regularly interact with customers, sales staff, technical staff, functional managers, and senior management.
Qualifications
* 12+ years' experience in managing complex software implementation projects
* Sound knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
* Proficiency with Microsoft Project
* Self-directed approach to achieving results
* Excellent communications skills
* Commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service
Desired:
* Familiarity with the Oil and Gas or Nuclear Power industries
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
PMP Certification (preferred)
