Role Overview

Technical Project Managers (TPMs) are the engine that drives our clientsโ€™ success. They are adept communicators with strong technical knowledge and a knack for problem-solving.

At Pointr, we empower TPMs to partner with clients and internal teams to deliver premier indoor technology solutions. To that end, they are comfortable operating in a flat, fast-paced organization and are energized by leveraging cuttingโ€‘edge technology to create the future of indoor experiences.

At its core, this role requires the TPM to combine tactical execution skills with strategic expertise to lead crossโ€‘functional teams through multiple, often concurrent project lifecycles.

Core Responsibilities
  • As assigned, own requirements gathering, project planning, implementation, and deployment support for our global clients and partners, ensuring timely, efficient delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • As assigned, own ongoing support of existing customers, including upgrades, expansion, and further product integration.
  • Work with clients to identify and resolve mapping and wayfinding issues. Coordinate and solve these issues working closely with technical teams.
  • Proactively partner with commercial and technical stakeholders, regularly educating them on Pointrโ€™s solutions and deployment process while serving as a key partner to their success
  • Closely collaborate with developers, designers, and deployment managers to integrate Pointrโ€™s suite of technology with client applications
  • Investigate and diagnose hardware and software challenges alongside Pointrโ€™s delivery teams to ensure solution quality and sustainability
  • Facilitate client status meetings to manage the scope and schedule of multiple, often concurrent deployments
  • Learn! Master Pointrโ€™s product suite to better understand how clients can use our technology and in turn supplement our product roadmap
  • Engage in proactive and timely communication that consistently impresses our clients.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of IT project management or technical consultancy experience in a hardware or software company
  • Demonstrated ability to move in a fastโ€‘paced environment, learning on the job while juggling multiple deliveries.
  • Experience leading the delivery and support phases of the customer lifecycle.
  • A selfโ€‘starter by nature with applied knowledge of agile software development processes and a strong interest in learning about indoor location technology

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to solve problems and foster relationships with technical and commercial stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
  • BS or MS degree in a relevant technology or management field (Computer Science is a plus)
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite, MS Office, MS Project)
  • Project Management Professionalยฎ (PMP) / Certified ScrumMasterยฎ (CSM) certifications preferred
