Project Overview: REI Systems’ Creative Services team plays a vital role in supporting various projects, including marketing campaigns, internal communications, branding initiatives, and proposal efforts. The team specializes in bringing ideas to life through diverse mediums such as digital artwork, technical illustrations, infographics, print materials, and branding for products and events. Our services also extend to advertising, website design, video production, and photography. Clients rely on our expertise to navigate the design process smoothly, trusting us to understand their needs and deliver creative solutions that align with their goals. 

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented, creative, and passionate graphic designer with a portfolio showcasing strengths in marketing, typography, infographics, and digital media. The ideal candidate thrives on creative challenges, enjoys problem-solving, and is not afraid to share ideas and explore innovative solutions. Scope of Work: 

  • Design a variety of materials to promote REI Systems including, but not limited to, social graphics & advertisements, digital banners, landing pages, printed collateral, flyers, posters, event banners, presentations, videos, etc. 
  • Conceptualize and design visually compelling marketing campaigns that run across various platforms/mediums. 
  • Transform complex technical content into modern, intuitive proposal graphics from conception to finalization. 
  • Collaborate with other designers and stakeholders at strategic meetings to capture the story or solution, then develop a visually compelling product. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects /deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Effective and competent communicator while presenting to internal and external clients. 
  • Iteratively incorporate feedback from other designers, leadership and clients to meet client expectations. 
  • Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and solid time management in a deadline-oriented environment. 
  • Understand REI corporate brand and advocate for maintaining brand and identity in all projects, products, and websites. 

Required Qualifications 

Software Proficiency: 

  • Adobe Creative Suite—specifically: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign 

Project Management Skills: 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize workload 
  • Strong self-management skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients to meet all deadlines 

Soft Skills: 

  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Collaborative and comfortable in fast-paced environments

Design Knowledge: 

  • Understanding the importance of design process and best practices in the design field to lead and justify creative approach and strategy in all interactions 

Availability: Occasional overtime may be required to meet deadlines 

Preferred Qualifications 

Industry Experience: Federal IT experience 

Additional Software Skills: 

  • Experience with editing web content on WordPress, Divi, and HubSpot 
  • Experience with video editing using Adobe Premiere and motion graphics experience utilizing After Effects 

Technical Graphics:  

  • Experience working on a proposal team and developing proposal graphics  
  • Experience creating technical solution graphics for client presentations and proposals 
  • Videography and/or photography experience 

Experience: 3-5 years of industry experience (Mid-Level Designer) 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related creative field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.

 

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.

 

Location: Hybrid –2 days (Tuesdays & Wednesdays) per week at REI Systems’ Sterling, VA office.

 

Compensation & Benefits:
base salary 78,000 to 100,000 + annual performance-based bonuses
