An exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering, estimating, and quality functions within a growing precision machining manufacturer serving highly technical industries. Client Details Our client is an established and expanding precision manufacturing organization specializing in the production of complex, high-specification components for globally recognized customers operating in demanding and highly regulated markets. Description The Engineering Manager will: Lead, mentor, and develop engineering, estimating, quality, programming, and technical teams. Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence. Partner with operations, sales, and finance teams to align engineering priorities with business objectives. Oversee engineering activities supporting precision machining, manufacturing processes, tooling, fixturing, automation, and process optimization. Develop and standardize manufacturing processes, documentation, work instructions, and technical standards. Troubleshoot production, quality, and process challenges while implementing sustainable solutions. Lead the estimating function, ensuring accurate quotations, costing models, and manufacturing feasibility assessments. Manage quality systems and ensure compliance with relevant industry and customer standards. Drive root cause investigations, corrective actions, preventative actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. Participate as a member of the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, KPI management, budgeting, forecasting, and capital investment decisions. Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, supporting technical reviews, audits, product launches, and project execution. Lead new product introduction activities, process transfers, validation programs, and successful production launches. Profile The Engineering Manager should have the following qualifications: Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Extensive manufacturing engineering experience within CNC machining or closely related precision manufacturing environments. Demonstrated experience leading engineering, quality, estimating, or technical teams. Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixturing, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and manufacturing best practices. Experience developing quotations, cost estimates, manufacturing plans, and process improvement initiatives. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, production teams, and senior leadership stakeholders. Proven project management and problem-solving capabilities. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical requirements and commercial objectives. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
