General Description: Instruct high school students in the basic skills related to the welding technology industry.
Qualifications:
-Have considerable work experience in all aspects of the welding technology field.
-Must meet all qualifications for the appropriate license through the Illinois State Board of Education. Valid Professional Educator License that is current and registered in DuPage County with endorsement in Welding Technology (Candidates with valid ISBE teaching licenses must also have at least two years of directly related work experience).

Requirements for the Career and Technical Education License:
- Official transcripts, in unopened, sealed envelopes, showing 60 semester hours of credit from a recognized educational institution.
- Documented evidence of 2,000 hours of work experience in the skill area.
Requirements for the Provisional Career and Technical Education License
- Documented evidence of 8,000 hours of work experience in the specific skill area to be taught.
Compensation: Salary is placed on a scale based on education and experience, ranging from $56k to $64k annually.
Placement is determined at hire based on qualifications, with potential additional consideration given for prior public school teaching experience.
