Title: Technical Writer III Location: Alexandria, VA; Colorado Springs, CO Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph Job Details: * Provide technical writing support to a large enterprise IT contract * Responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation
* Write and edit technical documentation for hardware and software to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation * Create code documentation for software, produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities, provide field, data definition, and data flow documentation and format technical drawings
* Collaborate with technical SME's, architects and cross-functional teams in deadline-driven environments
* Ensure style, formatting, and terminology align with agency standards, style guides, and specialized vocabulary relevant to the subject matter
* Write and edit executive level briefing notes
* Demonstrate the ability to strongly collaborate and work independently, with proven ability to thrive in team environment
* While excelling in solo tasks, demonstrate flexibility to seamlessly switch between collaborative projects and autonomous responsibilities Requirements: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position; an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
* Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in addition to education level
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word (styles, cross-references, formatting, document integration, and complex document management) Visio, Adobe Acrobat PDF creation, and file manipulation * Experience working in a DoD or IC environment desired
