ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • CAD Software Training: Undergo training to become proficient in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
  • Assist Senior Drafters: Work closely with experienced engineer drafters to learn the principles and best practices of technical drawing and design.
  • Technical Drawing: Develop skills in creating detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics following industry standards and guidelines.
  • Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate records of design changes, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Review and Checking: Learn to review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Develop problem-solving skills to identify and address design issues or discrepancies with guidance from mentors.
  • Material Selection: Gain knowledge about materials commonly used in engineering projects and how to select them based on design specifications.
  • Compliance Awareness: Become familiar with safety, environmental, and industry regulations that affect engineering drafting.
  • Communication Skills: Enhance communication skills to effectively convey technical information and design concepts to team members and clients.
  • Project Support: Provide assistance to engineers and drafting team members throughout the project lifecycle, including revisions and updates to drawings.
