Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an IT Technical Writer to support a mission-focused defense organization located in Newington, VA. The IT Technical Writer will develop and maintain technical documentation for IT systems, cybersecurity initiatives, and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate can translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate documentation while adhering to DoD and Army standards. Onsite in Newington, VA and Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required. Responsibilities for the IT Technical Writer Include: • Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, procedures, guides, and reports. • Translate complex IT, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts into clear documentation. • Create diagrams and process documentation using Visio and Microsoft Office. • Manage document version control, reviews, approvals, and lifecycle processes. • Maintain documentation within SharePoint and other content management systems. • Collaborate with technical teams to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy. • Ensure deliverables comply with DoD, Army, MIL-STD, and organizational standards.
