Job description

Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Documentation & Document Control Manager to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electronic documentation and ordnance document scheduling, technical content, and costs, while advising management on the status of work in progress, collaborative technical content requirements, and potential production impacts. Strong Analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving abilities, with the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate. This position is responsible for managing electronic documentation and ordnance document scheduling, technical content, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of technical content. Status work in progress to customer and management advising potential production impacts. Develop and maintain technical content, collaborating with internal and external organizations to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution. Measure, report, and develop corrective actions to maintain KPI's at acceptable levels. Perform all aspects of Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, driven by business needs and company strategies and objectives. Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement lean methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce cycle time, and enhance productivity. Utilize tools such as Kaizen events and Lean Six-Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements. Help develop and sustain a culture of continuous improvement using various configuration management tools leveraging benchmarked Livelink workflows to achieve ISO 9001-2015 quality standards. Candidate is expected to travel within and outside the Continental United States (approximately 20%). About BAE Systems and the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP)

SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System (SWS), a defense system that is truly critical to our national security. The sea-based SWS is the ultimate stealthy weapon system and is the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
