Position Summary
The Technical Documentation and project specialist will curate, design and facilitate solutions that align with the needs of our team of sales and subject matter experts and customers. The role requires an individual who is knowledgeable in adult learning and instructional design strategies for performance-based outcomes, can innovate, move quickly, and not be constrained by how things have been done before.
Requirements
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
โ€ข Partner with product leadership, product marketing, engineering teams, and cross-functional teams to deliver documentation and knowledge to our employees and customers
โ€ข Create and manage content, such as feature articles, demo videos, how-to, and tip sheets that will be made available to customers through our customer facing site, including working with product management in creating bids & proposals.
โ€ข Create base documentation on core products.
โ€ข Own content creation for Training and Service manuals as well as QRC's (Quick reference cards),
โ€ข Own communication of training for all products, features and facilitation to Employees, Customers, and Partners
โ€ข Develop a deep understanding of user profiles and client needs to articulate technical solutions to common business problems
Experience and Education
โ€ข 2 years of technical writing and documentation experience developing relevant curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
โ€ข 3+ years of relevant professional experience (Product Technical Writer, Quality Assurance Engineering, etc.)
โ€ข Experience taking challenging, complex ideas and concepts and making them understandable and appealing to diverse audiences
โ€ข Mix creativity with technical terms to author product writings that educate users without confusing them
โ€ข Serve as the voice of our users when collaborating with engineering by implementing feedback and product improvements to the material created.
โ€ข Develop supported opinions and suggest improvements that benefit our customers
โ€ข Accept feedback, provide supported opinions, and develop team relationships and workflow that lead to the best possible outcomes
โ€ข Strong writing skills, ability to create technical product documentation and instructional materials
โ€ข Ability to be a self-starter; demonstrating the ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple teams
โ€ข Passionate about working in a small team and fast-moving environment.
