  • The task performedwill include but are not limited to:
    • Conduct compilation, review,auditand tax engagements
    • Prepare financial statements and corresponding notes
    • Apply knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations (ASNPO)
    • Perform analysis of complex accounting issues.
    • Performfinancial and systems analysis.
    • Prepare personal and corporate tax returns (and other tax compliance slips) ensuring compliance with government standards
    • Prepare year-end tax forms (T4s and T5s)
    • Complete bank and other account reconciliations
    • Prepare payroll,GSTand government reports
    • Respond to client questions and queries
    • Identifytechnical issuesand discusswith manager or engagementpartner
    • Update manager or engagement partner on the progress of engagements
    • Prepare professional correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining findings, facts and highlights resulting from the client engagement
    • Collaborate with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work
    • Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses
    • Work with accounting software and provide support to clients
    • Assist in streamlining client's systems
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
    • Develop a thorough understanding ofPivotal's servicesand thebusinesses and industries we serve.
    • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
    • Lead engagement teams while coaching and mentoring junior teammembers
    • Attendand assist in developinginternal courses to further accounting,assurance,and taxknowledge

    • Extensive knowledge of and experience working with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) with a strong working knowledge of corporate and personal income taxes



      • Required qualifications:
        • ABachelor's Degree in Commerce or Business Administration
        • Completion ofChartered Professional Accountant (CPA)designation or working towards a CPAdesignation

        • 2 to 3years of relevant work experience inpublic practice in Canada
