Job description

Technical Co-Founder

Location: Flexible / Venture-dependent
Company Stage: Day-one venture-backed startup
Focus: AI + Healthcare
Employment Type: Co-Founder / Executive Leadership

About Our Client

Our client is building and launching new companies at the intersection of healthcare and AI. Each venture is built around deeply researched, conviction-driven theses and backed by tier-one venture capital firms with committed day-one funding.

This is an opportunity for an exceptional technical founder to step in as a true Technical Co-Founder with meaningful equity, influence, ownership, and responsibility from the very beginning.

The platform behind these ventures has helped create more than $2B in portfolio value and has supported multiple breakout healthcare companies. Their company-building model is designed to give founders a stronger starting point, including committed capital, a tested operating playbook, technical resources, and venture-building support.

About the Role

Our client is looking for experienced technical founders to join new AI healthcare ventures as CTO Co-Founders.

This is not a traditional CTO role. This is a founder-level opportunity for someone who has already built before and wants to do it again with more leverage, more support, and a stronger launchpad.

You'll be responsible for shaping the technical vision, prototyping the product, building the engineering foundation, recruiting the early team, and partnering closely with the CEO and venture team to build a category-defining company.

What You'll Do

  • Join a new healthcare AI venture as CTO and true co-founder

  • Own the technical strategy, architecture, and product execution from day one

  • Prototype, launch, and iterate on the initial product

  • Partner with the founding team to validate the market, product, and business model

  • Build scalable technical systems that can support long-term company growth

  • Recruit, hire, and lead a world-class engineering team

  • Work closely with operators, investors, healthcare experts, and commercial partners

  • Build a venture-backed company with meaningful ownership and long-term impact

What We're Looking For

  • Former founders only — experience starting or co-founding a company is required

  • Strong technical background with the ability to build from zero to one

  • Experience in top-tier engineering environments, including Big Tech, elite startups, or late-stage technology companies

  • Computer Science or related technical degree from a highly regarded university

  • Strong product instincts and the ability to move quickly from concept to prototype

  • Bias toward action, high urgency, and relentless execution

  • Ability to operate with ambiguity and make high-quality decisions quickly

  • Strong leadership, recruiting, and communication skills

  • Deep interest in building at the intersection of AI, healthcare, and venture-scale company creation

Why This Opportunity

  • Join as a true co-founder with meaningful equity, influence, and ownership

  • Launch with $1.5M+ in committed day-one capital

  • Build within a proven company creation model with a strong track record

  • Work on deeply researched healthcare AI theses with real market demand

  • Access technical resources, operating support, investor networks, and company-building infrastructure

  • Help build a category-defining company with the potential for enduring impact

  • Partner with a team that has helped create more than $2B in portfolio value

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a repeat founder or former technical founder who wants to build again in healthcare AI. They are deeply technical, highly resourceful, execution-oriented, and excited by the responsibility of building a company from the ground up.

This person does not want to simply join a startup — they want to co-found one.
