Job description

Job Title: Engineering Aide (RF / Microwave Support)
Location: Chelmsford, MA (transitioning to Andover, MA end of year)
[About the Role]
Join a leader in RF and microwave engineering as an Engineering Aide supporting top-tier design and development projects. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced RF Technician eager to expand technical expertise, contribute to innovative engineering teams, and grow professionally in a collaborative lab environment. Start in Chelmsford and move to a brand-new lab in Andover by year's end.
[Responsibilities]
- Provide direct technical support to RF engineers and microwave design professionals
- Gather, format, and analyze technical data, including lab test results and engineering design changes
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic RF systems using advanced test equipment
- Produce engineering documentation, technical reports, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
- Set up and operate test stands/benches; proficiently collect RF measurements (Power, S Parameters, Harmonics, Phase Noise, Noise Figure)
- Perform assembly of components per engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct detailed mathematical calculations and preliminary data analyses
- Build wire harnesses and assemble microelectronic modules as needed
[Required Skills and Experience]
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' experience troubleshooting RF/digital circuits and operating lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of electrical component parameters and packaging
- Skilled in safe handling of ESD sensitive devices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient with microscopes, block diagrams, and schematics
