Job Description
FTC has immediate opportunities for experienced Special Inspectors and Field Engineers to be part of our team.
  • Complete assigned inspection as scheduled by dispatch
  • Perform scheduled inspection during the time assigned - inspect, review and submit reports according to NYS DOB code and approved drawings
  • Usual schedule is 7am-3:30pm
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Qualifications
  • Ideal candidates must hold certifications from ICC, AWS, NICET and/or ACI including:
  • ICC Commercial or Residential Certification required.
  • Technical, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree pertaining to the Engineering field (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, etc.) a plus.
  • Candidates must be familiar with the New York City Building Code
  • Ability to read prints and find inspection locations
  • Ability to produce inspection reports according to company standards
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Reliable means of transportation necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards
  • Must be punctual, reliable with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work various shifts
  • Ability to travel numerous job sites daily
  • Highly motivated team player with a strong work ethic
  • Able to communicate effectively with a variety of project managers
  • Prepare and electronically submit daily reports
  • Organized and efficient
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Authorized to work in the U.S with a valid driver license
