Job description

The Technical Records Assistant assists maintenance personnel to ensure that precise and accurate aircraft records are maintained in accordance with Company policy, procedures and FAA regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Works with the Maintenance crew to obtain, analyze, input maintenance inspection documents into the maintenance tracking program as submitted by A&P Technicians.
Enters work order/job card data into maintenance tracking software for maintenance personnel. Maintains upkeep on documentation.
Scans A&P signed entries and applicable documentation and uploads them into the maintenance tracking system.
Main point of contact for communication between the A&Ps, QC/Technical Records, Inventory, and Maintenance Planner.
Audits and updates aircraft flight log times in maintenance tracking software after aircraft Request parts and supplies orders for mechanics.
Upkeep hangar cleanliness.
Assist Aircraft Maintenance Technician's with aircraft parts and equipment, or perform other duties as directed by shift supervisor on duty.
Other duties as assigned.
Competency
Ability to learn how to use the maintenance tracking software.
Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
• Strict attention to detail to maintain accurate and complete records.
• Must learn aircraft parts recognition and location on aircraft.
• Must have proven organizational skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: While travel is not regular part of this position, there may be occasions where travel is required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel and be able to operate office equipment like a printer/scanner.
Special Requirements:
• Must be able to pass a ten year security background check for Airport Badging.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT/FAA drug test.
