Summary:

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in supporting our purpose of creating lasting value for those we serve by directly managing the customer relationship and being a liaison between the business and the customer. The Account Manager is focused on establishing and growing customer relationships and coordinate sales. This individual will make daily personal visits to customer locations to demonstrate products, discuss projects and maintain personal and professional relationships. The Account Manager is seen as a champion for the company culture and through all activities and actions promotes our culture, our 5 P’s and our purpose to create lasting value for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Build and maintain excellent customer relationships
  • Provide excellent customer service for existing customers by providing solutions, managing projects, or providing information on products or services
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish new customer relationships
  • Review reports of business transactions, sales reports, expense reports and promotional letters for assigned accounts
  • Developing strategic selling strategies for individual customers, track and analyze buying patterns
  • Work closely with Inside Sales Representatives and Technicians to keep account activities and literature up to date
  • Develop technical knowledge of new and changing industry

Job Requirements/Specifications:

  • Five years experience in sales is required
  • Minimum of two year degree or equivalent experience required; Four year degree preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience required
  • Electrical product knowledge is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Ability to travel (approximately 15%) for training and support of customer needs
