Surgical Technologist

Location: Green Bay, WI 54311 Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center | Level III NICU | Level III Maternity Center | Primary Stroke Center Beds: 167 Number of ORs: 19 (split between 2 locations) COVID / Vaccination Requirements: As per hospital policy

About the Facility
  • High-acuity surgical environment covering multiple specialties
  • ORs split between 2 hospital locations
  • No call required; limited holiday work, no weekends
Unit & Patient Details
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years (must have bariatric experience)
  • First-Time Traveler: Considered upon review
  • Patient Types / Case Mix:
    • General Surgery
    • Robotics XI & DV5
    • ENT, Plastics, Urology, Bariatrics, GYN
    • Minor Vascular Surgery
    • Neurosurgery & Orthopedics
Must-Have / Nice-to-Have
  • Must Have: Endovascular Surgery, Minor Vascular Surgery experience
  • Nice to Have: Eye Surgery experience
Mandatory Skills & Certifications
  • Scrub Role: CST
  • Certifications: CST, BLS
  • Telemetry Monitoring: Yes (anesthesiologist monitors)
  • Tech-to-Patient Ratios: 1:1
Unit Support
  • Charge Nurse: Mondayโ€“Friday only; no charge on weekends/holidays
  • Floating: Between Main OR and East Side OR (same building)
  • Ancillary Support: Assist with cleaning, supply management, and sterile instrumentation setup
Technology / Equipment
  • EMR: EPIC
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
  • Medication Dispensing: Pyxis
Orientation
  • 2 shifts, 8 hours each, on the unit
Scheduling
  • Weekend Rotation: Possibility of some weekends
  • On-Call: None for RN, ST, or Anesthesia Techs
  • Holiday Work: Limited, as needed
  • RTO Approval: Through manager; no more than 4 days approved
