JOB SUMMARY

This individual will manage all IT across four office/warehouse locations in the United States and an office/warehouse in the United Kingdom. The multi-faceted nature of this role ranges from co-leading IT strategy in partnership with the executive team to selecting and maintaining a portfolio of applications that drive service to our customers and business efficiency to establishing an IT infrastructure that is both secure and provides our users with a positive daily experience. The Director of IT is a member of the organization’s leadership team with responsibility for partnering with other functional leaders to drive the day-to-day performance of the organization. This individual manages a three-person IT team as well as a broad range of external support partners. This role requires an individual comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment who thrives at both leading and doing.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

CAN PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF PROVEN, SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING KEY AREAS:

  • Develop IT strategy to support corporate strategy and goals.
  • Lead the company’s artificial intelligence initiatives to leverage this evolving technology to improve business insights, the effectiveness of service to our customers and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage the IT team to high functioning performance and cross-functional cooperation.
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) of the organization to ensure optimal performance and to complete the organization’s transition to the cloud.
  • Optimize the organization’s portfolio of software applications by seeking best in class solutions, enhancements to existing applications and integrations between applications to drive efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the IT Budget; Lead project management and execution of key IT initiatives.

EXPERIENCE OR EXPOSURE TO:

  • Researching and evaluation of emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
  • Preparing cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs.
  • Training employees on both software and hardware, troubleshooting, and providing technical support when needed.
  • Development and execution of disaster procedures, ensuring security of data, cyber-security network access and backup systems.
  • Tracking and maintaining hardware and software inventory.
