Summary/Objective


The primary role for this position is to support all levels of lube service to our customers. The Lube Tech provides efficient, comprehensive service that meets all of our quality and safety requirements and works as part of a team to deliver a positive experience for our customers. All work provided must comply with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices, and no employee should attempt any work for which they have not been trained.

Essential Functions

  • Check oil and fluid levels and record results
  • Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
  • Replace oil and air filters and install new oil drain plugs.
  • Clean and lubricate fittings as needed.
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
  • Add water to the radiator and the battery.
  • Complete vehicle inspection, noting any additional issues.
  • Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors.
  • Adhere to all company processes and safety standards.
  • Understand and follow regulations applicable to the industry.
  • Work as a team to provide efficient and comprehensive service.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment with organized areas and regular cleaning.
  • Stock and assist with physical inventory.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in efficient operating condition.
  • Attend meetings held by Store Service Manager.
  • Process all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Observe all safety rules and procedures associated with the performance of duties

Knowledge and Skills: To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate a willingness to work, a drive to complete tasks, and the ability to communicate effectively with their team and customers.

Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:


Must have a high school diploma or GED. Experience in a shop environment and knowledge of tools and practices are helpful. Preference is given to lube experience and training.


Work Environment:

This position requires frequent pushing/lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as stooping, standing, and bending. This is a shop environment with varying temperatures and exposure to grease and engine fluids. Safety shoes are required but provided through a company cost-sharing program.
