Job Summary:
SWJ Technology specializes in providing engineering, planning, and project management services across various industries. They are currently seeking an IT Specialist for a client in the automotive industry, responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing the organization's information technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Assess and evaluate IT infrastructure regularly to ensure systems meet current and future business requirements
โ€ข Manage the daily operations of the IT function and provide ongoing technical support to end users
โ€ข Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices
โ€ข Administer and support operating systems, servers, networks, and related IT infrastructure
โ€ข Manage and maintain multifunction printer devices, including consumables such as toner, ink, and waste cartridges
โ€ข Coordinate IT support activities for both on-site and remote employees, as well as external vendors and contractors
โ€ข Perform troubleshooting, upgrades, asset management, website updates, data management, and network administration
โ€ข Configure, monitor, test, and maintain server backup systems to ensure data integrity and business continuity
โ€ข Support and manage hardware and network environments across multiple geographically dispersed locations
โ€ข Develop and implement IT procedures and best practices to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
โ€ข Identify and recommend technology upgrades, process improvements, and infrastructure enhancements
โ€ข Maintain accurate records of IT assets, systems, configurations, and support activities

Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field

โ€ข Experience with system administration, operating systems, and network support
โ€ข Knowledge of server management, backup solutions, and disaster recovery practices
โ€ข Experience with database, development, and internet-based software applications

โ€ข Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
