Job description

Job Summary:

We're looking for a curious, service-minded IT Support Specialist to join our Boise team. You'll be the first point of contact for 700+ employees where you will be troubleshooting day-to-day tech issues, setting up equipment, and keeping things running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience across hardware, Microsoft 365, and device management in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

End-User Support

  • Respond to help desk tickets and walk-up requests from office employees
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows and macOS devices
  • Escalate complex issues to senior team members and follow through to resolution
  • Keep users and management informed on ticket status

Hardware & Equipment

  • Image, configure, and deploy laptops and workstations for new hires
  • Perform basic hardware repairs (RAM, hard drives, peripherals)
  • Unbox, inventory, and asset-tag incoming equipment
  • Set up displays, AV equipment, and standing desks

Device & Account Management

  • Onboard devices using Windows Autopilot and Microsoft Intune
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID (password resets, unlocks, group membership)
  • Support basic Exchange/M365 tasks like shared mailboxes and distribution lists

Documentation

  • Keep knowledge base articles and SOPs accurate and up to date
  • Document recurring issues and contribute to process improvements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a related role (internships and coursework count!)
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, MAC OS, and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory, Azure / Entra ID and user account management
  • Comfortable setting up and troubleshooting hardware
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
  • Organized, reliable, and able to juggle multiple requests
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice to Have

  • CompTIA A+ or working toward it
  • Exposure to Intune, Autopilot, or Jamf
  • Any scripting or command-line experience (PowerShell, Terminal)

Education

  • Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field - OR equivalent hands-on experience or certifications
