Job Summary

eClerx is seeking a motivated Full Stack Java Developer to join our Application Development team. This team is responsible for designing, building, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-grade financial technology platforms that provide users with access to critical market, transaction, and operational data through intuitive and scalable applications.

The Full Stack Java Developer will work closely with technology leaders, product stakeholders, UX designers, and fellow engineers in a dynamic Agile environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about building modern applications, has strong front-end and back-end development expertise, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges in cloud-native environments.

You will play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle, from ideation and design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own front-end and back-end applications for enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with Product, Business, and UX teams to deliver high-impact solutions that address user and client needs.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Build and maintain automated testing across the full software stack.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain reusable UI components and design system assets.
  • Contribute to the technical foundation, engineering standards, and development culture of the team.
  • Help onboard and mentor new team members.
  • Participate in production support, infrastructure upgrades, and software releases as required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as operational needs evolve.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience, including:
    • Backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
    • Front-end development using React or Angular (TypeScript/JavaScript).
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, software design principles, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with modern development and build tools such as Git, Maven/Gradle, and Artifactory.
  • Experience designing and developing REST APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and business domains.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate code generation, improve code quality, and reduce time-to-delivery across the development lifecycle.
  • Apply AI tools to support tasks including boilerplate generation, code review, debugging, unit test creation, and documentation, while maintaining accountability for the quality and correctness of all outputs.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, or Cucumber.
  • Experience working with third-party libraries and frameworks (e.g., AG Grid, D3).
  • Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, animations, and modern UI practices.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications in public cloud environments.
  • Exposure to syndicated loans, leveraged finance, capital markets, or related financial products.
  • Experience building enterprise software solutions within the financial services industry.

In the US, the target base salary for this role is $90,000-$120,000. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors
