Job description

- # Suites: 14 for GENERAL SURGERY, 29 TOTAL. - Average # of cases per day: 20-40 for general surgery. - Required Certifications: Graduate of a surgical tech program, BLS. - Common Cases: Lap chole, lap colon, lap appy, cysto, DaVinci robotic cases, hysterectomy, vascular, ENT, urology. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have general surgery, urology, gyn, and ENT experience. Must have DaVinci robot experience (must be fully independent with robot or will need to be redirected).Only Mids/Evenings/Night shift techs MUST have level I trauma experience. Must have 2 years of hospital surgical experience BUT if they have at least 1.5 years in a level I they will be considered. - Scrubbing required - RN's: Scrubbing required. - Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift?: Charge that helps with cases. - OR techs?: Yes - EMR: EPIC OP TIME. - Weekend/Call Requirements: Every third weekend- will be a full weekend. Weekend hours are worked with a shift of call assigned. - Holiday/Call Requirements: Call Rotation - What is call response time?: 30 minutes. - Floating Requirements: May float to help other surgical teams/SPD if qualified.
