Warehouse Associate

It is the responsibility of the Warehouse Associate to work with the shipping team to assure that all product is gathered and loaded onto trucks as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Locate material and move to the appropriate area using a forklift.
  • Unload packaging and raw material trucks.
  • Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping when required.
  • Load material onto truck trailers properly spacing and arranging material for optimal delivery sequence
  • Verify material to confirm that the correct items are placed on trucks
  • Stage loads for full truck and LTL shipments
  • Close production work orders when needed.
  • Some assembly work required.
  • Pick parts and products for the truck
  • Collect and organize items ordered by customers and prepare them for shipment.
  • Operate equipment to collect, deliver, and package goods.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Follow all forklift rules and regulations
  • Follow warehouse safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to housekeeping standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Experience & Education:

· 1-2 years warehouse experience required

· Forklift experience required

· Scan Gun experience required

· High School Diploma/GED required

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

· Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

· Will require heavy work (lifting greater than 30 pounds). Ability to carry 50 lbs. for 100 feet unassisted.

· Machinery operation requires the use of safety PPE equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted

· Regularly required to stand or sit, and move about the facility. Ability to stand for 8 hours per day.

Materials and Equipment Used: Will require proper coordination, and motor skills to work with power/hand tools as needed.

Tools: SAP Software, Label Machines, scales and printers.
