Job description

Position: Inside Salesperson (BNU)
Division: Blackstone-Ney Ultrasonics
Department: Sales
Reports To: National Sales Manager - BNU
Classification: Salary, Exempt
Are you a sales-minded problem solver who enjoys talking with customers, asking the right questions, and helping them find the right technical solution?
Blackstone-Ney Ultrasonics (BNU) is looking for an Inside Salesperson to join our Sales team and become a key resource for customers exploring our standard ultrasonic cleaning solutions.
In this role, you'll be the primary sales contact for BNU's standard product line, guiding prospects from their initial inquiry through qualification, solution selection, proposal, and ultimately to a successful sale-or a well-managed close. You'll combine strong communication and relationship-building skills with your ability to understand customer needs and recommend the right equipment for their ultrasonic cleaning applications.
If you thrive in a fast-paced sales environment, enjoy learning technical products, and take pride in turning opportunities into results, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
  • Own the inbound sales experience for BNU's standard product line, including ProHT, GMC, CH, and Agisonic base models (AS-3000, AS-4000, and AS-5000).
  • Qualify and develop sales opportunities using the CTG sales process, identifying customer needs, applications, budgets, timelines, and next steps.
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource, helping prospects understand their options and guiding them toward the ultrasonic cleaning solution that best fits their application.
  • Manage opportunities from start to finish, ensuring every qualified lead receives timely follow-up and is brought to a clear sales or closure outcome.
  • Build relationships with existing and past customers through proactive outbound "warm" calling throughout North America.
  • Generate new business through "cold" outreach to trade show attendees, exhibitors, and other marketing-generated prospects.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers when opportunities extend beyond the standard product line, providing a clear handoff and detailed introduction to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Partner with the Proposal team by preparing proposals for standard BNU products when needed.
  • Develop customized proposals for immersible systems, generators, and tanks for Regional Sales Managers on a case-by-case basis.
  • Represent BNU at trade shows, including booth setup, customer engagement, and teardown.
  • Collaborate across departments and take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the success of the Sales team.
What You Bring
Sales & Communication
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales or a related field.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally by phone, email, and in person.
  • Experience following a structured sales process; Sandler Sales methodology is a plus.
  • Strong prospecting, qualification, listening, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to ask thoughtful questions, uncover customer needs, and translate those needs into solutions.
  • Confidence presenting information to customers, suppliers, employees, and other groups.
Organization & Technology
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience working with a CRM system; NetSuite experience is preferred but not required.
  • Accurate data-entry skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
  • Ability to remain organized and productive in a fast-paced environment.
Problem Solving & Technical Mindset
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills with the ability to qualify prospects and determine appropriate next steps.
  • A willingness and ability to learn technical products and understand customer applications.
  • Comfortable discussing technical concepts and helping customers evaluate potential solutions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience is a plus.
Communication & Language Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with prospects, customers, coworkers, management, and other departments.
  • Chinese and/or Spanish language skills are a plus.
What You Can Expect
This is an opportunity to join a team where sales, technology, and problem-solving come together. You'll work with customers across North America, develop your knowledge of ultrasonic cleaning technology, collaborate with experienced sales professionals, and play a direct role in growing the BNU business.
You'll spend most of your time in a professional office environment, with occasional exposure to our manufacturing/shop environment. The role may involve exposure to loud machinery and high-voltage equipment when moving through shop areas. Some travel may be required, although it is expected to be limited and primarily associated with trade shows or business needs.
