Job description

About Us

Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industryโ€‘leading companies with a shared mission: helping organizations unlock the full value of their data. Together, weโ€™re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data โ€” from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, weโ€™re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust.

About the Role

Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.

Weโ€™re looking for a Senior Marketing Operations & Technology Manager to architect and scale the systems that power our marketing engine.

This role sits on the Marketing Operations Team at the intersection of Marketing, Revenue Operations, Systems Engineering, and Analytics. You will own the strategy, architecture, and execution of our marketing technology ecosystemโ€”driving performance across demand generation, lifecycle, attribution, experimentation, and analytics. Youโ€™ll ensure our systems are integrated, our data is trusted, and our infrastructure scales with predictable growth. This is a handsโ€‘on, highโ€‘impact role for someone who enjoys building, optimizing, and solving complex technical challenges in a fastโ€‘moving environment.

This is a fullโ€‘time, hybrid position based out of our Austin, TX office. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and inโ€‘person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

Technologies Youโ€™ll Use

Marketo, Salesforce, Demandbase, Drift/Chat, Bizible, LeanData, Looker, and related enrichment and AI tools.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Own and evolve the endโ€‘toโ€‘end marketing and revenue technology ecosystem, ensuring scalability, performance, and crossโ€‘system alignment
  • Architect and maintain integrations and data pipelines across Marketo, Salesforce, enrichment tools, engagement platforms, and warehouse layers
  • Advance practical AI applications using OpenAI and Claude across marketing operations, automating workflows and enabling smarter segmentation, orchestration, insights generation, and predictive use cases
  • Design and optimize lead lifecycle infrastructure, including routing, scoring, enrichment, segmentation, and orchestration, to improve speedโ€‘toโ€‘lead and pipeline velocity
  • Operationalize lifecycle and demand programs at scale, enabling experimentation, personalization, audience activation, and measurable performance across channels
  • Build and maintain attribution, experimentation, and reporting frameworks that deliver actionable insights from first touch through revenue
  • Establish strong data governance and observability practices, proactively identifying and resolving system issues to increase reliability and stakeholder trust
  • Translate marketing and GTM requirements into scalable technical solutions that balance speed, flexibility, and longโ€‘term maintainability
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize marketing technologies as our goโ€‘toโ€‘market strategy evolves
  • Create documentation, enablement resources, and governance frameworks that improve adoption and reduce operational friction
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, or related systems roles in B2B SaaS or highโ€‘growth environments
  • Deep handsโ€‘on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms, particularly Marketo and Salesforce
  • Proven ability to configure, troubleshoot, document, and optimize complex integrations and data flows
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with modern analytics and transformation tools such as Looker, Hex, Fivetran, Census
  • Strong understanding of lead management, attribution methodologies, tracking design, and data hygiene best practices
  • Proficiency in API integrations, tagging strategies, and data validation workflows preferred
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking and tactical execution
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts into business impact and influence crossโ€‘functional stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in evolving environments while building scalable, repeatable processes
Bonus Skills
  • Experience with Marketo Measure (Bizible), LeanData, Demandbase, Outreach, and enrichment providers (Clearbit, ZoomInfo, or Common Room)
  • Experience supporting paid media tracking and tag management across platforms such as Google Ads and DSPs
  • Experience implementing AIโ€‘enabled tooling or internal automation programs
  • Proficiency in Python and experience building and maintaining productionโ€‘grade data pipelines
Perks and Benefits
  • 100% employerโ€‘paid medical insurance*
  • Generous paid timeโ€‘off policy (PTO), plus paid sick time, inclusive parental leave policy, holidays, and volunteer days off
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Company virtual happy hours, free food, and fun teamโ€‘building activities
  • Monthly cell phone stipend
  • Access to an innovative mental health support platform that offers personalized care and resources in areas such as therapy, coaching, and selfโ€‘guided mindfulness exercises for all covered employees and their covered dependents.
