Minimum Qualifications:

BA degree in the Information Technology field Or Two (2) years of experience in Information Technology Systems role OR A Technical or Trade Certification OR Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Job Location: Yakima

Salary Range: $23.85-$31.11/hr.


Position Overview:

The IT Software Tech is responsible for the overall coordination and delivery of the agency's technology services per the direction of the IT Manager. The position must manage and oversee Ole's Case Worthy system database implementation and train all staff and new employees on how to navigate the system. This role will oversee ordering and training new apps as well as managing the internal SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and OIC website. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, delivering, and installing technology equipment and assist on other IT tasks per the direction of the IT Manager. The position requires the ability to make independent judgment calls when necessary, apply deductive reasoning to solve problems, and demonstrate flexibility while communicating with professionalism, tact, and clarity.


Essential Duties:

  • Lead role in the management of CaseWorthy system database, train staff in Case Worthy, and manage new configurations in the Case Worthy database. Articulate OIC of WA and Community Services missions to staff and clients and demonstrate commitment to these missions.
  • Provide IT/IS support to staff when requested. Assist and coordinate with IT Support Specialists per the direction of the IT manager.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with agency staff and partner agency locations to coordinate and meet IT support needs.
  • Should be able to manage and troubleshoot 0365 apps and SharePoint/Teams sites.
  • Identifies the causes of computer and network gear problems using diagnostic testing software and equipment.
  • Install new hardware or software systems or components including VOiP phones and network gear, ensuring integration with existing network systems. Install and configure wireless networking equipment.
  • Monitor industry websites or publications for information about patches, releases, viruses, or potential problem identification.
  • Work with third parties to solve situations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrate experience in a professional office setting including working in a busy office setting which deals heavily with a high volume of calls, public contact, and public speaking.
  • Strong working knowledge of various software applications, including database management systems and the Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams), as well as Zoom.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and deliver software and IT equipment technology.
  • Recognized for strong verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure while maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Experienced working with diverse populations in confidential environments, providing exceptional customer service and resolving concerns professionally, including interactions with upset or distressed individuals.
