Job description

Job Title: Surgical Technologist / OR Technologist
Location: Viroqua, WI
Pay Rate: $33.00–$35.00/hr
Job Type: 12-Week Contract
Start Date: 05/25/2026

Vernon Memorial Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist / OR Technologist for a 12-week contract assignment in Viroqua, Wisconsin.

Shift Details:
• Monday – Friday
• Day Shift
• Staggered start times between 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shared call every 4th weekend
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Responsibilities:
• Operate within the scope of practice under the direct supervision of the surgeon
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and assist during surgical procedures
• Ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment
• Support patient safety and efficient OR workflow

Requirements:
• Surgical Technologist diploma required
• Certification preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
