Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:00) or 5x8 hours (07:00 - 15:00). Call shifts are required, with three call shifts per week and weekend call every other weekend.
Job Description
The CVOR Technologist will play a vital role in supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures, focusing on maintaining a sterile environment and assisting with a wide variety of cases, including vascular, thoracic, open heart, and endovascular procedures. This position requires collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and supplies in the cardiovascular operating room.
  • Support surgical procedures for vascular, thoracic, open heart, and endovascular cases.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including radiation safety by using a radiation badge.
  • Float between service lines as needed, adapting to various surgical teams.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year of well-rounded experience as a CVOR Tech.
  • National certifications: BLS and NBSTSA required; NCCT not accepted.
  • Experience with robotic surgeries preferred, including general surgery, urology, GYN, neurosurgery, and orthopedics/spine.
  • South Carolina license preferred; candidates with pending licenses will be considered.
