About our group:
Do you like working with technology that pushes the limits of what a whole industry can do? There's a reason we are the largest supplier of storage solutions in the world. Our technology and products are second to none.
We are looking for an experienced Chemical Analysis Engineering Specialist. In this role you will work with engineers to conduct experiments, perform quality testing, and make chemical adjustments related to wafer manufacturing processes. Additionally, you may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing processes. The Chemical Analysis Engineering Specialist reports to the Wafer Plating / CMP / Wet-Etch Process Engineering Manager.
About the role - you will:
  • Work D-Shift position hours, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 3:00AM plus alternating Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 3:00AM
  • Perform scheduled chemical analysis of plating baths.
  • Make additions of chemicals to plating baths to maintain correct levels
  • Monitor real time data (pH, flow, temperature, etc.) from process tools, utilizing SCADA software, and taking corrective actions for out-of-control situations.
  • Maintain and calibrate inline chemical measurement and dosing systems.
  • Maintain laboratory chemical analysis equipment.
  • Make chemical standards used in calibration of analytical equipment.
  • Perform record keeping in lab systems / logs.
  • Work with engineers and specialists to develop and standardize best practices across shifts.

About you:
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Your experience includes:
  • Experience with chemical handling safety and lab safety
  • Ability to independently perform routine chemical analysis, chemical adjustment, and equipment maintenance.
  • Comfort working in lab and cleanroom/factory settings.
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing chemical analysis data to ensure quality of outgoing results.
  • Able to work a D-Shift schedule, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 3:00AM plus alternating Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 3:00AM
  • Able to work onsite in Bloomington

You might also have:
  • Strong chemistry, analytical chemistry, and/or chemical process control experience
  • Experience with analytical chemistry techniques such as: (U)HPLC-UV, (U)HPLC-CAD, (U)HPLC-ECD, IC-CD, IC-UV, ICP, -OES, ICP-MS, XRF, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, and/or Potentiometric titration
  • Wafer manufacturing / systems experience
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Lab Information Management System (LIMS) software experience.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $24.94 to $37.86/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
