TITLE: Barracuda Digital Marketing Specialist
POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Exempt

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $70,304-$74,090 per year
Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist is part of our vision to pioneer the future of sports and entertainment by assisting in the development, planning, activation, and execution of various marketing campaigns for the San Jose Barracuda.
This role works closely with the Director, Marketing & Communications to ensure paid and organic advertising campaigns are effective at meeting revenue goals across ticket sales, corporate partnership and more. This position is also responsible for managing the Barracuda, Frenzy, & Tech CU Arena digital platforms including the website and social media accounts. They will support partnership marketing, community and live event marketing campaigns through project management, activation duties and insightful analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute and optimize multi-channel digital marketing campaigns (paid, organic, email, web)
  • Writes and creates all Barracuda email communications including Cuda Currents, Sales Related content, and KBYG content
  • Manages and executes all sjbarracuda.com and TechCUArena.com website needs.
  • Executes Barracuda fan engagement strategy across social media channels and website. Listens and engages with fans and customers across Barracuda digital platforms and leverages data to inform decision making.
  • Assist in the execution of the annual promo schedule and specialty jerseys.
  • Maximize all marketing cross-promotional opportunities by exploiting all internal marketing opportunities under the direction of the Director, Marketing & Communications.
  • Assist in the execution and content of special live events while working with cross-functional teams to maximize revenue, impact, and attendance.
  • Assist the Director, Marketing & Communications with the Barracuda and Tech CU Arena brand in use of company-wide project management through task management platforms such as Asana .
  • Develops, executes, pitches, and reports on content for all organic and paid digital campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain content calendars aligned with business goals and campaigns
  • Remain on top of social media trends to increase awareness and engagement on the Tech CU Arena, Frenzy, and SJ Barracuda Social Media accounts.
  • Coordinate Barracuda players, Coaches, Hockey Operations staff, broadcasters, alumni, and other key contributors for SSE/Barracuda social, sales, marketing, and event needs with the PR department.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience working in marketing; experience in a high-performing marketing organization or sports and entertainment organization is a plus.
  • 2+ years of managing organic and paid social media, google, CTV, & OTT strategic marketing campaigns.

  • Digital publishing/CMS experience and basic HTML knowledge.
    • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator that is comfortable sharing ideas across functions, and to different levels of the organization
  • Multi-tasker that is comfortable in an environment of ambiguity, where decisions need to be made quickly.
  • Self-starter that can work independently and show initiative to solve problems in new ways but communicates and pitches to Management for campaigns.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Be results-oriented and demonstrate strategic instincts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
  • Communicate via phone and email with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays (all with advance notice)
  • May be required to travel to other company locations
  • May be required to attend conference, events, and training sessions within Bay Area or in- or out-of-state locations.
