Key job responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of contracts across diverse data center activities, including general contractor agreements, engineering and design vendor contracts, operations and maintenance service agreements, work orders, change orders, and related ancillary agreements
- Provide day-to-day legal and commercial guidance to business stakeholders on projects, negotiations, vendor management, and internal and external communications
- Partner with cross-functional teams including construction, procurement, engineering, operations, security, and finance to anticipate needs, assess and manage risk, and deliver timely, actionable support
- Identify and implement process improvements that enable scalable, efficient contract management, including standardization measures and elimination of repetitive or low-risk work
- Drive efficiency improvements through workflow automation, standardization, and cross-functional alignment, while evaluating and adopting legal technology and AI tools to enhance quality, speed, and scalability

Beyond individual contract reviews, you'll identify opportunities to streamline our contracting processes, implement automation solutions, and champion the adoption of legal technology tools that help us work more efficiently at scale.
About the team
We support the teams responsible for building and maintaining AWS data center infrastructure globally. Our mission is to enable rapid, compliant growth of AWS's physical infrastructure while managing risk effectively

We work closely with business stakeholders across multiple functions-from construction and engineering to operations and security-to ensure contracts support their objectives and protect Amazon's interests. You'll be part of a collaborative legal team that values proactive partnership, creative problem-solving, and continuous improvement. We're focused on scaling our contracting capabilities to match AWS's growth trajectory, and we're excited to bring someone who can help us work smarter through process innovation and technology adoption.
