Job description

SUMMARY:
Responsible for checking quality of pool, regarding chemical balance. Performing maintenance, repair, inspection, and record keeping operations for the park.
Pearl River Resort Associates are required, on a continual basis to...
Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.
Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.
Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Welcomes customers to the park in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the property area and assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets.
  • Assist in the daily maintenance and repair of all pools.
  • Monitor and uphold all safety and health regulations.
  • Responsible for scheduling of Water Quality Tech.
  • Monitor the activities of Water Quality Tech's associates on duty
  • Log all biological spills in water.
  • Position each Water Quality Tech to their areas of responsibility each day.
  • Complete accurate inspections of all pools and grating in pools every morning.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all the pools and keep pools clean to national pool guidelines.
  • Check pool chemicals, chlorine and pH (acid) levels on top of every hour.
  • Monitor all radio traffic calls for water quality.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of facilities/outlets and special and upcoming events on property, in order to advise customers of same, whenever possible.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.
  • Communicates important, relevant information to following shift.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

AGE and GAMING:
18 years of age or above. Non - Gaming property.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED is required. One (1) season as a Water Quality Tech is preferred.
TESTING:
Must score at least 85% or better on a Water Quality Tech test. Must take the required testing identified for this position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Essential responsibilities include physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds, and standing/walking 100% of the shift. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, twist, and grip throughout shift. Work with hazardous chemicals.
