MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. One (1) year of experience working in MRI.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Explains procedures at a level the patient will understand.
2. Provides appropriate patient care as required. Practices sterile techniques and universal precautions.
3. Maintains adequate and appropriate records as directed. Responsible for documentation of clinical and technical history on patient. Responsible for accurate utilization of the computer to document patient and exam information and charging functions.
4. Assures that all required consent, history and screening forms are completed and verified by signature of customer and/or legal guardian and/or physician, and/or technologist prior to performing procedure
5. Communicates with other health care professionals, including patient referral sources, verbally and in writing. Effectively manages time in order to balance patient treatment needs, documentation, and educational requirements
6. Complies with all MRI safety protocols. Ensures patient screening questionnaire is properly reviewed.
7. Communicates and interacts with patients, families, visitors, physicians, departmental and hospital staff and the public in general in a manner that demonstrates professionalism and concern for the individuals' need(s).
8. Remains current and responsive to changes in healthcare delivery, standards established by professional organizations, regulatory and accrediting bodies and the needs of the organization. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and current professional literature.
9. Maintains and applies working knowledge of Hospital and Radiology information systems. Maintains and applies working knowledge of Picture Archive and Communication (PACS) system.
10. Participates in Quality initiatives to help assess and improve the services provided and compliance with regulatory requirements. Reports results to appropriate administrative levels.
