Job description

Title: Temp Ink Inplant Tech
Location: Albertville, AL
Shift: 6pm-6am Variable night shift (Depending on the schedule it can be Monday, Thursday, and Friday or Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday) Training will be on 1st shift
Pay: $22/hour

JOB OVERVIEW: An Inplant Ink Technician manages on-site ink blending, quality control, and color matching inside a client’s printing or packaging facility. Acting as a direct liaison between the ink manufacturer (Sun Chemical) and the customer, the tech ensures printing presses keep running smoothly without color defects
Essential Job Duties:
  • Produce and quality control inks to ensure inks meet or exceed the customer’s specifications.
  • Provide press side technical support.
  • Maintain detailed production and QC records.
  • Identifies rework opportunities based on review of batch tickets.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safe operations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. buckets; and move 500 lb. drums following standard procedures.
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years industry experience
  • Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook
  • This is a customer-facing position that requires a high degree of interpersonal skill
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs. throughout the day
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Drug screen and background check are mandatory if you are offered this position
