Job description

The IT Team Lead is responsible for overseeing IT operations, infrastructure, and support services that enable product development, automation, and real-device testing environments. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring reliable systems, network stability, and efficient support for engineering, QA, and DevOps teams. The IT Team Lead drives operational excellence and continuous improvement across IT services.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT specialists and support engineers.

· Oversee daily IT operations including systems, networks, servers, user support, and device lab environments.

· Administer and support Microsoft environments including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory.

· Manage Windows and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.

· Manage virtualization environments including VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machines.

· Manage and support IT infrastructure including Dell servers, iDRAC, storage systems, NAS devices, and backup solutions.

· Manage and support network infrastructure including Cisco and UniFi equipment, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and related network services.

· Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and security of IT infrastructure.

· Manage and support real-device labs, including mobile devices, test hardware, servers, storage, and network equipment.

· Coordinate installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management of hardware and software systems.

· Monitor systems and networks, proactively identifying and resolving infrastructure, connectivity, hardware, software, and end-user issues.

· Provide hands-on IT support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, operating systems, network connectivity, and end-user computing environments.

· Collaborate with engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to support development, testing, automation, and lab environments.

· Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and authentication across IT systems and applications.

· Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, access control, permissions management, secure configurations, and security policies.

· Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, standards, and operational best practices.

· Use PowerShell and basic automation to streamline administrative tasks, system management, monitoring, and IT support processes.

· Handle incident management, escalation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

· Plan and manage IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Maintain accurate documentation for systems, configurations, processes, network infrastructure, and IT procedures.

· Manage IT assets, equipment inventories, lifecycle tracking, and related documentation.

· Coordinate and maintain backup and recovery processes to support business continuity and data protection.

· Ensure compliance with security, performance, reliability, and operational requirements.


Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

· 8+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, or related IT roles.

· 1–2 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role.

· Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory.

· Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.

· Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machine environments.

· Experience managing Dell servers, iDRAC, NAS/storage systems, and backup solutions.

· Strong understanding of networking concepts and hands-on experience with Cisco, UniFi, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.

· Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux, and macOS.

· Experience managing hardware, end-user devices, servers, storage, and network infrastructure.

· Working knowledge of cybersecurity practices including MFA, permissions, identity and access management, access controls, and secure IT configurations.

· Experience with IT asset management, technical documentation, system configuration documentation, and IT procedures.

· Experience using PowerShell and basic scripting or automation to improve IT administration and support processes.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, systems, and network environments.

· Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and project management abilities.
