Position OverviewÂ
Fredericksburg City Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and innovative Elementary Career Exploration Specialist Teacher to provide engaging, age-appropriate career exploration instruction for students in grades K5.Â
This position supports multiple elementary schools and focuses on helping students build early awareness of careers, develop employability skills, and connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Instruction & CurriculumÂ
Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned career exploration lessons for grades K5Â
Introduce students to Virginia Career Clusters and emerging career pathwaysÂ
Teach foundational skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity, and problem-solvingÂ
Integrate career concepts into core academic areas including STEM, literacy, and social studiesÂ
Facilitate hands-on, project-based learning experiencesÂ
Incorporate instructional technology and digital toolsÂ
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needsÂ
Student Learning & AssessmentÂ
Use assessments to monitor student progressÂ
Maintain accurate student recordsÂ
Use data to inform instructionÂ
Provide feedback to students and familiesÂ
Collaboration & LeadershipÂ
Collaborate with teachers and counselorsÂ
Participate in professional learning and curriculum developmentÂ
Support career-related school eventsÂ
Community EngagementÂ

Bachelor's degreeÂ
Virginia elementary PK-6 teaching license (or eligibility)Â

Ten-month, 200 day teacher contract Range- $55,057 - $95,672
