Bilingual English/Spanish Preschool Teacher
Tampa Bay International School, a Spanish immersion PK - 8 school in Clearwater, Florida, seeks a full-time bilingual Spanish and English-speaking teacher for our preschool class. The successful candidate will be a patient, creative, enthusiastic and friendly person who enjoys working with children of diverse backgrounds and has experience working with preschool-age students in an educational setting. The successful candidate must also possess the necessary staff credential or the education equivalent to teach children of preschool age in the state of Florida, and be VPK certified. Tampa Bay International School is a bilingual school in which lessons and activities are conducted both in English and Spanish. The successful candidate must be highly fluent in both languages and able to teach comfortably using both English and Spanish.

Monday - Friday
8:15 AM - 4:15 PM
Salary: $50,000 - $54,000 annually; depending on experience

Salary may be increased through teaching in our afterschool program, tutoring students outside of school hours and teaching in our summer camp.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to preschool-aged children.
  • Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that fosters learning and growth.
  • Assess and document children’s progress and communicate with parents regularly.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the educational experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are ready for use.
  • Guide children in social interactions and conflict resolution.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Florida Staff Credential or education equivalent
  • VPK Certification with the Early Learning Coalition 
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for early childhood education and child development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.
  • Positive attitude and a nurturing demeanor.
