Position Details:
- Schedule:
- Monday-Friday,
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Responsibilities: ​
- Be present, engage and respond along with the children.
- Plan environments and experiences to provoke children's thinking. ​
- Maintain an attractive and engaging classroom. ​
- Document children's progress based on their curiosities. ​
- Ensure compliance with all DCYF regulations. ​
Qualifications: ​
- Classroom experience working with children 24- 36 months.
- Respect for children with a joyful and present attitude every day. ​
- Ability to create a dynamic environment where play and learning thrive. ​
- Ability to document children's play and plan accordingly for future experiences.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills. ​
Requirements: ​
- Cleared DCYF background check before start date
- Current CPR/First Aid certification. ​
- Bloodborne pathogen training. ​
- Food Handler’s Card. ​
- Proof of negative TB test ​
Preferences:
- Two years of experience teaching in a toddler classroom. ​
- Early childhood education degree (BA or AA preferred). ​
- 30 hours of STARS training completed. ​
- Fluent Bilingual written and verbal skills are a plus. ​
