Title:    Special Education Teacher - CKCIE Area Schools (Salina, Minneapolis Bennington, Tescott, Ell-Saline, Ellsworth, Holyrood, Claflin, Wilson, Southeast of Saline, Hope, White City, Herington, Solomon, Chapman, Abilene)
We anticipate both high and low incidence special education openings for the coming years from PreK - 12th grade

 

Job Purpose: To provide specialized learning experiences and supervision of students with disabilities in a supportive and positive classroom climate thea enables each student to develop the skills and knowledge as outlined in the Individualize Education Plan (IEP) for the student.
Qualifications: 

 
  • Current Kansas Teaching Licensure with Special Education Endorsement
  • Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.  
  • Have excellent intergrity and demosntrate good character and initiative. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, children with disabilities, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, structured teaching, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning and children with exceptional needs.
