ESL Teacher Aide
The ESL Teacher Aide works with bilingual/ESL teachers to support students in the classroom and small-group settings. Responsibilities include assisting with instruction, translating for students and families, preparing classroom materials, and completing clerical tasks.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist teachers with classroom and small-group instruction.
  • Translate conversations, phone calls, notes, and other materials for students, parents, and staff.
  • Support students who need extra help understanding lessons.
  • Use games and other activities to reinforce learning.
  • Monitor and report student progress and behavior.
  • Use technology to support instruction.
  • Provide students with encouragement, guidance, and positive role modeling.
  • Work with teachers to meet student needs and communicate with families.
  • Supervise student activities as assigned.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and field trips.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
